About Baba Balak Nath Ji

Baba Balak Nath Ji is a revered Hindu deity worshipped primarily in the northern Indian states of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and parts of Jammu & Kashmir. He is considered an incarnation of Lord Shiva and is known for his miraculous powers and benevolent nature.

According to legend, Baba Balak Nath was born in the Dvapara Yuga and chose to remain a celibate child deity throughout his existence. Devotees believe that he has the power to grant wishes and solve problems of those who worship him with true devotion.

Temple History

Pandit Dina Nath Ji was born into a middle-class Brahmin family of the Vashisht lineage (Gotra) on the 13th day of the Chaitra month of Vikrami Samvat 1982, corresponding to March 26, 1925 in the city of Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.

His father passed away during his childhood when he was only 6 years old. When the country gained independence, he served in the Indian Army - Ministry of Defence, Signal Corps , where he established his identity by demonstrating his efficiency and expertise. He retired from service in 1985.

From December 1958, acting on the command of Maa Naina Devi Ji, his family's Kuldevi, he undertook the mission to renovate the Shri Baba Balaknath Ji temple, which was in a dilapidated state on Nanakpura Hill. By the grace of the Mother and the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, Pandit Ji was gifted with the art of singing. He began the temple's reconstruction using the funds earned from performing Jagrans and Chowkis. Through Pandit Ji's hard work and tireless efforts, the Baba Balaknath Temple is today approaching the pinnacle of fame. In this temple, every wish of the devotees is fulfilled.
